BACKGROUND • Russell Home for Atypical Children • Serving Central Florida for over 60 years • Have assisted over 2000 severely handicapped individuals • Currently house 24 individuals ranging in age from 6 to 60 • Use no government funding • Have been at the same location since its inception in the 1940’s

  5. BACKGROUND • The home is located at 510 Holden Avenue • Abuts Cypress Grove Park • They have been utilizing a portion of Cypress Grove Park • Since before we owned the park • Used for parking • Has our drainage structures

  7. PROPERTY REQUESTED • They are requesting a 60’ X 200’ piece of land • For continued use as parking • For potential expansion area • Also requesting a 5’ X 12’ temporary sign easement on Holden Avenue • This will be eliminated or moved if we widen Holden Avenue

REQUESTED ACTION Approval and execution by the Mayor of a Resolution declaring property to be surplus to the County’s needs and approval and execution by the Mayor of a County Deed for donation of this property to the Russell Home for Atypical Children retaining a drainage easement and an access easement over the property and approval and execution by the Mayor of a Temporary Sign Easement for the Russell Home along Holden Avenue and authorization to disburse funds to pay all recording fees and record instruments.
