  2. Goal: Reduce morbidity and mortality due to HIV and AIDS Indicator: Percentage of adults and children with HIV known to be on treatment 12 months after initiation of antiretroviral treatment HIV/AIDS BI-ANNUAL REVIEW 2008

Sub-theme 1 The Continuum of Care, Treatment and Support • Indicators: • Percentage of women and men with advanced HIV infection receiving ARV combination therapy in the last 12 months (UNGASS) • Number of ARV sites per 100,000 population per district and region • Percentage of health facilities with no stock outs of Fluconazole for more than a week in the last 12 months HIV/AIDS BI-ANNUAL REVIEW 2008

  4. Sub-theme 2 The dual Epidemic of HIV and TB Indicator: Percentage of estimated HIV-positive incident TB cases that received treatment for TB and HIV HIV/AIDS BI-ANNUAL REVIEW 2008

Sub-theme 3:Home-Based Care & Support • Indicators • Percentage of adults aged 18-59 years who have been chronically ill for 3 or more months in the past 12 months due to HIV and AIDS, whose households received basic external support in caring for chronically ill adults • Number of organizations providing HBC per district population • Number of HBC person-visit in the last 12 months • Number of HBC providers trained according to National Guidelines HIV/AIDS BI-ANNUAL REVIEW 2008
