The knight along with the colors were taken from the Kellam family’s coat of arms. • Mr. Bruce Biehl became Kellam’s sixth principal in September 1996. “Pascitelibertatemscientia” (“Feed freedom with knowledge”)

  6. After graduation plans • After I graduate I will be attending, Old Dominion University. While at ODU, I want to join the Cheerleading team. Once I graduate college I would love to teach in the Virginia Beach City Public School district.

  7. Hobbies • Cheerleading is by far my favorite hobby. I have been cheering since I was in third grade. I used to be a competitive cheerleader and traveled all over the United States. In that time, I have won over fifty national titles. Even though I no longer cheer competitively, I cheer on the Varsity Cheerleading squad at Kellam and was named Captain.

  8. Dreams My dream has always been to become a teacher. Since I was five, I could remember how much I loved playing school, and how fun it was to be a “pretend” teacher. Since then I knew that teaching was my perfect fit!

  9. Family • My family means the world to me. My parents and sister are my best friends, I can tell them any and everything, and they always give me the best advice. I honestly don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have them because they are truly my backbone!

  10. People that mean the most to me

  12. The Teaching Profession.. How VTfT Prepared Me! • I think the teaching field is such a wonderful profession. Just knowing you have helped a student and made a difference in their life is very rewarding. • Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow has helped me learn all about the teaching profession. From lesson planning to learning disabilities. It is also a great class because it helps you see if teaching is for you!
