  4. Team Rules • Do nothing that will embarrass yourself, your family, the team, or the school • Be where you are supposed to be, when you are supposed to be there, doing what you are supposed to be doing, at all times. • Miss a practice (unexcused), miss a quarter

Offensive, Defensive Schemes • Offense • Staying with option • But, we will run the option, not dabble with it • Formations and concepts – Think Air Force, Navy, Georgia Tech • No Huddle, Warp Speed • Lots of energy, excitement • More plays • Pressure on the defense • Defense • Aggressive, attacking • High pressure • Very aggressive to match the offense

Loyalty Program • A program that will be used as a method of measuring, and increasing the dedication and loyalty each player has to the football program, their academic performance, and the school and community. • Focus of the program is on: • Academics – I am not satisfied with “Passing/being eligible” • 3.0 GPA • Progress reports through whole year • Coaching staff will develop close ties with teachers – We want good news and bad news • Community • Service projects • Winter and Spring sports • School activities • No detentions, no disciplinary actions, no teacher boom-sheets • Football • Workouts • Physical Condition • Camps • Spring Practice • Points are set for items in each area (“Standard”). Points are earned by players in each area (“Earned”). • Assessment of each player made at start of double-day practices in August. Did they make the standard or not? • Each player must meet the standard before the player will participate in organized scrimmage or games. Points are earned by running after practice.

Financial Situation • Team is $9,000 in debt to the school • Accumulated over the past 2 seasons • To be paid back over the next 2 seasons$4,500 due this year • Current account balance is $400 • No financial support from school or district • District pays for safety – helmet and shoulder pad reconditioning • Your support for fundraising is critical • Busses to games, decals for helmets, replacement practice uniforms, replacement game uniforms, footballs, pads, etc. • Primary fundraising activities • Beg-A-Thon • Blue Cards • Sponsors • NFL Pool, Yardline Monopoly, SWAG • “Yard Sale” at Ohlone
