  1. Renaissance Artists UIL 2013-2014 Practice

  2. There are 7 Renaissance paintings in this year’s UIL test. The time period is from 1400-1600 AD. Renaissance means "rebirth" or renewed interest in classical learning. Most of the paintings are religious, moving toward ancient Greek and Roman themes.

  3. Practice #1. • Number a piece of paper 1-7. • Write down the name of the artist and his/her artwork as we cover it. • When we are finished, flip your paper over and see how you do on a spelling test of the Renaissance artists/artwork. • You can check for accuracy by flipping your paper over. • On the weekend, practice writing the words correctly and connecting the artist and name of art to the picture.
