  1. We spent most of life watching farmers struggle with managing their farms — dozens of farm-related issues, weekly trips to the nearest crop yard, town, city to buy farm related items, services and it is time-consuming — while farmers had limited resources to help. The entire system was complicated, confusing and did little to support to grow better and smart farms. We started FARMSFRIEND to prove that managing farms could actually be simple. We recognized that fixing farmers requires actually building a better farmers Portal. We had step one foot forward to help farmers as we are in the fast-paced digital and technology, and we always thought there was a better way.

  2. Corn (Maize) Cultivation Maize is the basic raw material required for manufacturing starch and constitutes 60-70 per cent of thetotal operating costs. Maize has 60-65 per cent starch content, hence cannot be easily substituted by othercommodities. Historically maize was used more for local consumption and less for commercial use. Maize utilized for directhuman consumption has reduced over the years and is expected to further reduce due to rising income levelswhich has made preferred cereals like wheat and rice more affordable, increasing commercial demand frompoultry and starch industries leading to higher farmer realization.

  3. Greengram(Mung) Cultivation The mung bean (Vignaradiata), alternatively known as the moong bean, monggo, green gram is a plant species in the legume family. The mung bean is mainly cultivated in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, China, Korea, South Asia and Southeast Asia. It is used as an ingredient in both savory and sweet dishes. Whole cooked mung beans are generally prepared from dried beans by boiling until they are soft. Mung beans are light yellow in colourwhen their skins are removed. Mung bean paste can be made by dehulling, cooking, and pulverizing the beans to a dry paste.

  4. Wheat Cultivation With the ease of increasing population, the food requirement of the world is also increasing rapidly. And, Wheat is very important food crop that plays a vital role in meeting the world food requirement. It is believed that they were first grown about 10,000 years ago and are the first plants which are cultivated for food. Wheat is also healthy and nutritious food that is beneficiary in keeping us healthy. And most of the people use to grow only little stock of it to meet only their own food requirement. In the Asian continent, the European continent, and the African continent, wheat farming or growing wheat had spread by about 4,000 B.C. And, with the increasing popularity across the world, new variety of wheat had been created to increase the production capacity and quality of food.
