  1. “What needs should be considered when designing a zoo enclosure?” Needs Brainstorm First Last Name

  2. The open space will have dirt and some grass, with some shade from nearby trees. The cheetah’s speed will be showcased by having it chase after a dog. The dog is actually just a picture that is attached to a train. The train will travel on a train track that stretches from one end of the enclosure to the other. The speed of the train will always be faster than the cheetah’s speed, to ensure there is always a chase. Since this animal is a pack animal and needs to interact with others, there will be 2 of the animals, both females.

  3. There will be a 2 small rooms for keeping the animals separated from one another. The rooms will both be indoors, but not next to one another. The rooms will have a covered ceiling to provide shelter for the animals. The rooms can only be unlocked with a key. Cameras will be placed inside to monitor the animals’ activities. The outdoor section of the enclosure is a natural environment with grass and dirtthat does not need to be cleaned. The indoor section of the enclosure (zoo keeper area)is made of concrete and can easily be swept or hosed down with water when dirty.

  4. Outside of the cheetah enclosure, there will be a sandpit that has a large life size poster of a cheetah leaping and its top running speed, which is 65mph. For the activity, the zoo visitors can leap in the sandbox and compare their leaping distance to a cheetah’s leaping distance. Even though two sides of the enclosure have fencing, the fencing will be painted greento look more natural. There will also be plantsalongside the fence to hide it.
