  5. 4-yr HS Scholarship Benefits Cost of attending OSU/WOU is 20k/yr X 4yr = $80K total (approximate) 4yr scholarship Cadet (Still competes for AD…4/6 yr commitment) Cadet Stipend = $ 3,000 (Fresh) + $3,500 (Soph) + $4,500 (Jr) + $5,000 (Sr) 16K 4-yr scholarship benefit @ 10k/yr 40K Book Stipend @ $1,200/yr x 4yr 4.8K Total = 60.8K Assess Active Duty=4 year commitment Assess ARNG/USAR= 6 year commitment

ROTC Scholarship Qualifications Qualifications: Minimum GPA of 2.5 By end of 1st Term: Must pass the Army Physical Fitness Test, Must pass an Army Physical, Must meet Height and Weight requirements IAW AR 600-9 National Scholarship process: - National Applications due to Cadet Command by 10 January of high school senior year - Evaluated by National Board - Interviews conducted locally - Scholarships awarded nationally following board results What is the GRFD Scholarship: - 3 year scholarship that Guarantees Army Reserve Forces Duty or National Guard Duty (GRFD) after graduation from college - Equivalent to an “line” scholarship but cannot be considered for active duty service - Available for an SMP Cadet, with associated benefits, while on GRFD Scholarship Pay and Benefits: - Tuition 100% (in or out of state) or 10K R&B - Books $1,200 per year - Monthly Stipend Freshman $300 Sophomores $350 Juniors $450 Seniors $500 SMP Kicker $350 Interested candidate can maximize their opportunity for a scholarship by applying their HS Senior year

  12. Key Cadet Standards 8thBDE, USACC GPA 2.0 for Non-Scholarship & Scholarship (term & cumulative). 2.5 to qualify for a SROTC Scholarship. ROTC: 3.0 or greater (term & cumulative). Academic Major: Per Department standard (varies by degree). Credit Hours Progress at End of Academic Year: Minimum of 12 x Credit hours per term (full time), IAW Cadet’s 104R Military History: Complete one approved 3 x Credit class prior to graduation. Degree Requirement: Complete bachelor’s degree prior to commissioning. APFT: Cadet should strive to achieve maximum score on each record APFT. Record APFT: Earn a minimum score of 60 x points in each event. LDAC /Commissioning Goal: Per PMS standard. HT/WT: Meet HT/WT standards IAW AR 600-9. Swim: Pass Swim Test & Combat Water Survival Test prior to commission (if cannot, waiver required for commission).
