Data Strategy / COI Training Course Objective: To help implement the DoD Net-Centric Data Strategy by training people to establish Communities of Interest to solve information sharing problems Intended Audience: Members of DoD Components (Military Services, Agencies, and Combatant Commands) who must help to implement net-centric information sharing to achieve effective military and government operations. Executive Overview: Flag Officer/General Officer Detailed Training: Officers and Civilian equivalents between the rank of captain and colonel Course Duration: Executive Overview: 2 hours Detailed Training: 2 days

Detailed Training Desired Outcomes Awareness Understand how the DoD Net-Centric Strategies enable enterprise transformation to net-centric information sharing operations Actionable understanding of how to implement these strategies, focusing initially on making data and services visible, accessible, and understandable both within and outside the COI construct Practical knowledge of how to stand up a COI and use it to solve information sharing problems Advocacy Champion the approach Help identify and address challenges Application Recommend this approach to Senior Leaders in your organization Identify and scope information sharing needs affecting your community “Step up” to establish COIs to address these information sharing needs
