  1. May 2011 Pilot Purpose: • Proof of concept • Feedback on interface • Site accessibility • Ease of use for students and test administrators • System and supported technology • Feedback from item writers on tagging mechanism

  2. May 2011 Pilot Test Format: One fixed form test will cover all subjects (combined reading, math, and science test) Will include samples of different “types” (e.g. reading passages, short linear math problems)

  3. May 2011 Pilot Participation: Pilot participants may include all students who are blind and the vision specialists with whom they work

  4. May 2011 Pilot Supported Technology/Equipment: Will support same screen readers and Refreshable Braille Displays and embossers as in operational test Will support Windows XP and above operating systems Participants will be instructed on how to point their browsers to Pilot website

  5. May 2011 Pilot Pilot Dates and Follow-Up Activities: Pilot available online: mid-to-late May Gather student, test administrator, and Braillist feedback: June
