  1. Globe Fashion The concept here is to highlight Fashion and design from the emerging countries, as a way of understanding the contemporary cultures, lifestyle and design  from these countries. Our style of promoting business through Globe Forum and  emerging markets  is to create a cultural connectivity, a way for us to connect people using culture, which we believe can be achieved through Globe Fashion/ Design.  We will present designers from India, China and Latvia during the Gala dinner on Day 2 of Globe Forum 2007. INSH¡ªIn Shanghai-the two-year old boutique founded by designers Person Ge and Helen Lee, has quickly distinguished itself from its neighbours by selling designs that promote local Shanghainese culture-in all its textiled glory. Helen believes the Shanghainese to be first and foremost, the most fiercely self-determined of all chinense today. her clothes reflect the Shanghainese appetite for individuality. Starting off as a naive fifteen-year old model in Soviet days, and now one of Latvia's most respected fashion industry people, Asnate Smeltere feels that she has spent all of her life in the fashion industry. A measure of the respect she has in the fashion industry and in Latvia was evident when she was asked to design President Vaira Vike-Freiberga's dress for Latvia's EuropeanUnion Inauguration oath
