  1. WEIGHMENT OF WAGONS • Wagons loaded with bulky goods should be weighed on the weigh bridge, if available at forwarding station • If Weigh Bridge is not available, wagon should be marked for weighment at associated weigh bridge duly recording in VG

  2. WEIGHMENT OF WAGONS • Every bagged consignment loaded in uniform standard bags,HR Coils and EXIM traffic need not be weighed. However, atleast 5% of rakes should be subjected to weighment • Consignments loaded in non-standard bags should continue to be subjected to 100% weighment

  3. WEIGHMENT OF WAGONS • Wagons which are to be weighed at enroute should be labeled to destination, but noted in the wagon summary to stop at weigh bridge station

  4. WEIGHMENT OF WAGONS • The RR shall be prepared based on the weighment details furnished by weigh bridge within 24 hours of completion of loading. • If the RR can not be prepared within 24 hours from the time of completion of loading, DCM can permit another 24 hours time for preparation of RR based on the weight furnished by the weigh bridge

  5. WEIGHMENT OF WAGONS • If the weighment details are not received within 48 hours, RR should be prepared based on sender’s weight • Weighment details shall be recorded in weighment register

  7. JPO • A JOINT PROCEDURE ORDER WAS ISSUED for OPERATION OF ALL TRAINS LOADED WITH CC+8+1 OR CC+6+1 SIGNED BY CME COM CCM PCE ON 19.3.2010

  8. JPO FOR RUNNING OF TRAINS LOADED WITH CC+8+1 OR CC+6+1 TONNAGE Station Master / Commercial Supervisor of Forwarding Station shall serve a memo to the Loco Pilot and Guard of the train indicating whether the train is loaded with normal CC or CC+8+1 or CC+6+1

  9. JPO FOR RUNNING OF TRAINS LOADED WITH CC+8+1 OR CC+6+1 TONNAGE The memo should also indicate whether the train has been weighed on weighbridge or not. This memo should be tagged to the BPC and VG and continue till the destination of the train i.e. unloading point

  10. JPO FOR RUNNING OF TRAINS LOADED WITH CC+8+1 OR CC+6+1 TONNAGE Once the crew has a memo regarding CC+8+1 or CC+6+1 tonnage and weighment not done, the Loco Pilot shall not exceed the speed of 40 KMPH till the rake is weighed at the next weighbridge station

  11. JPO FOR RUNNING OF TRAINS WITH CC+8+1 OR CC+6+1 TONNAGE SM of the originating station or enroute station where the rake is weighed shall inform the Divisional Control Office immediately regarding the overloaded wagon in a particular rake. Through FAX, weighment details are sent to CCOR Divisional Operating Control shall arrange to issue Caution Order to the GDR of the train at the next station

  15. PCC • ‘Permissible carrying capacity’ means the normal carrying capacity determined as per Section 72 (1), (4) of the Railways Act,1989. • PCC of the wagon is fixed basing on the type of wagon, route and commodity.

  16. (PCC) OF WAGONS NOTIFIED COMMODITIES:Ores, Gypsum, Limestone, Dolomite, Stones, Clinker, Cement, Slag ,All types of Coal DAP and NPK fertilizers

  17. Load adjustment enroute • The load adjusted/excess quantity unloaded to be certified by Comml. Clerk • In case of non-availability of comml. staff-SM to certify excess quantity unloaded from wagons
