What is Bottlenose? • Real-time discovery engine for the social web • The ‘new’ internet to keep up with news and interests, gain live insights, and engage in real-time • Discovering the Stream • social networks, • messages, • conversations, and • constantly flowing data • A (visual) live streaming view of what the crowd is thinking, sharing and talking about right now • With insights and analytics • Shows who is influencing the Stream • Personalized dashboard (registration required)

How is Bottlenose doing it? • Creates a dynamic semantic interest graph about every topic, link and person on the Stream • Uses a new patent-pending platform for social listening, analytics, and trend detection, called the StreamOS • Natural-language processing, semantic classification, sentiment detection, analytics, rules automation, attention profiling, trend detection, and personalization • Ranking of topics and trends using StreamSense (new algorithm to measure attention, conceptual similar to Google’s PageRank, but for social messages) • Connected with different social networks and data streams • Twitter, Facebook, G+, YouTube, LinkedIn, RSS feeds, and more • Easy to connect new streams and networks

More on StreamOS • Based on the idea of a (human) brain • Distributed peer-computing network where each computer is similar to a synapsis • Synaptic Web • Completely written in Javascript and HTML5 with a size of a image • Runs in your browser when you visit and use Bottlenose • Acts as a site, but is in fact an app running in your browser • Web 3.0/Hypernet • Extending the Cloud to your computer • New discoveries will be shared with everyone else in the cloud • Everyone computes a bit (up to 3000 message per second) • These bits are used to build the Interest graph
