  2. Introduction Slide 1: Which Apartment and why? Slide 2: How will you pay? Slide 3: Will you have roommates? Slide 4: How will you furnish this apartment? Slide 5: How will you maintain?

  3. Which Apartment and Why? • Click Here • 4115 Cresson St, Philadelphia, PA 1927 • 3 Bed, 1.5 Bath •  $1,500 a month/3=$500 a month • Located in Manayunk I chose this apartment because it is located in a nice area of Philly right near where I am going to school. It will be a great place for me and a few friends to split when we move off campus.

  4. How Will You Pay? • Total costs are: • Rent- $1500/month • Tax- $1800/year=$150/month • Security Deposit= about $1500 I will be able to pay for this because it is much less than room & board at school. I will be saving money after I move off campus by getting an apartment similar to this. I may need to take out personal loans or use summer savings but I will be able to pay for it.

  5. Will you have roommates? Yes I will have roommates. It is a 3 bedroom apartment so I will have at least 2 roommates. If there is a high enough limit, we could do up to 6 tenants and have 2 per room and pay next to nothing in rent and utilities. However 6 people sharing one bathroom could get hectic. But, then again, we will be in college and can deal with it. It will all depend on how much people want to spend.

  6. How Will You Furnish? A lot of my personal furniture I can probably find from my parents and relatives getting rid of stuff. I really am not worried about the place looking fancy as long as the furniture gets the job done. Whatever I have to buy I will look at the cheapest furniture I can find.

  7. How Will You Maintain? It isn't hard to keep a place clean. I will try to find some decent roommates that don't make a mess and clean up after themselves. There isn't a yard so we wouldn't have to mow anything. It would basically fall on us to keep clean.
