  4. Military equivalent of management staff • Bachelors Degree is minimum academic requirement • Given substantial leadership responsibility at a young age • Excellent experience to transition to civilian careers What is an Officer?

  5. $180,000 scholarship total value • All mandatory fees imposed by the School • Includes all uniforms • $750 per academic year for text books • Monthly subsistence allowance • Freshman - $250 • Sophomore - $300 • Junior - $350 • Senior - $400 The NROTC Scholarship

  6. Academic • 22 ACT, 1000 SAT or 74 ASVAB • No minimum GPA requirements • Physical • Must achieve a 200 on the Marine Corps Physical Fitness Test • Other • Must be US citizen; 17-23 years of age; on track to graduate high school with no more than 30 semester hours of college Eligibility Requirements

  7. In the process of applying to a college or university with NROTC unit or cross-town affiliate • Have no criminal record of military or civilian serious offenses • No excessive tattoos • Hands, neck, face, elbow and knees prohibited • Others dealt with on case by case basis Eligibility Requirements (Continued)

  9. Obligation Upon graduation you will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the USMC You will be required to fulfill an eight year obligation to the USMCR, four years will be active duty Flight training guarantees require additional obligation

  11. Second Summer • Marine Corps Training • 6 Week course • Assigned to Fleet Marine Units Summer Training

  12. Third Summer • Officer Candidate School • 6 Week Leadership Course Summer Training

  13. Six Weeks at MCB, Quantico, VA • Candidate Evaluations • Leadership Abilities • Challenging Program • Physically And Mentally Officers Candidate School
