Objective: SWBAT Characterize various figures from mythology by thoroughly examining their actions and descriptions within Edith Hamilton’s Mythology. 9December 2013 English I CPA Do Now: Compare and contrast the worship of Persephone with that of Dionysus. Describe how Dionysus is unique amongst the other gods and goddesses of Greek Mythology.

Compare the tone within Hamilton’s work to that within one of the selected poems. (15 minutes). -Reading “How the World and Mankind Were Created” from Hamilton’s Mythology (Hamilton 65). HW: Characterization Cornell Notes for Creation Stories I & II from “How the World and Mankind Were Created” (Hamilton 65- 72). *Study for Vocabulary Workshop Unit 4 Quiz on Wednesday.
