Embouchure • Slight Pucker, Like Kissing your Grandmother or blowing out a candle • Open Aperture or gap, about a 1/16 of an inch • Mouthpiece Placement • Focus the muscles towards the middle • Corners set, not tight • Center relaxed • Playing the trumpet might be opposite of what you might think!

  4. Air • Relaxed Air • Relaxed in, relaxed out • Put the mouthpiece pressure on the lips as you play the note • Mouthpiece pressure and air compression balance • Shout “HEY”

  5. Singing • Sing through your horn!

  6. Equipment • Mouthpiece • Trumpet • Flugel Horn and Mouthpiece • Mutes
