Commendation • Their “good works” were increasing so their external appearance was positive. • Condemnation Tolerance of Jezebel • Jezebel is the woman with Leaven • Jezebel introduced Baal worship to Israel • Not a corruption of the true worship of God but a whole new god and system of worship. • Baal worship included sexual immorality (pornocracy)

  18. Condemnation • Send Jezebel into the Tribulation • Adherents will suffer physical violence • Revelation 17:1616 And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

Exhortation: • Those of the church who are not involved in this system (Roman Catholicism) are told to hold on to doctrinal purity until Jesus comes back for us. • In contrast with the false authority of the Roman Catholic Church, true believers will be given authority in the Messianic/Millennial Kingdom • True believers who possess the true faith will possess the true Messiah (Morning Star –Rev. 22:16)
