  3. What’s The Problem? • At Schuylkill Valley School District is cancelling classes but by law (The Law Of Truancy), kids have to go to school. • Kids can’t miss school for 10-15 days unexcused or you can get fined. • Plus if you are caught on the street during a school day you can get arrested.

  4. Who’s In Charge? • The School board is in charge of our curriculum. • They pick the classes we take, attend, and which one’s to get rid of. • They also establish length of the school term, adopt the textbooks, and get the annual budget.
