  3. Today’s Agenda: • A little about me • State and explain the objective • What does Fear look and feel like • Share the 3 C’s and explain what they mean • Learning with Movement • Set a purpose for reading • Read the story • Review the chant • Share out • Did we meet our objective?

  4. Objective: I will be able to state what to do when I’m feeling afraid.

  5. What does FEAR look and feel like? • Heart is pounding • Breathing heavy • Want to scream • Shaking • Need to run • Other suggestions???

  6. The 3 C’s When you are feeling afraid: • Stay Calm • Think Clearly • Make Good Choices

  7. The Three C’s: Mrs. O is thinking clearly out loud

  8. The Chant! Please stand and repeat after me: • Take a deep breath • Count to ten • Think good thoughts • Talk to a friend • Ask yourself…should I be afraid? • Tell an adult • Walk away

  14. The Objective: What will you do the next time you feel afraid? • Turn and Talk • Share Out

  15. Did we meet our objective? Can you name one thing you can do when you feel afraid? Can you do the chant with motions to help you remember? Will you tell your parents and other friends about the 3 C’s? Remember, no matter what it is that scares you, if you stay calm in the situation and think clearly about your next step, then good choices and good things will follow.

  16. NEVER be AFRAID to take the next step! DREAM BIG Friends… When I am scared…I will not hide. I’ll stop the fear…that I feel inside. I will be strong…as strong as I can be, be proud of EVERYTHING that is in me. I will know the steps to overcome my fear. I won’t fall down, I won’t shed a tear. I will be strong…as strong as I can be. I will be proud of EVERYTHING that is in me 
