VP Academic & Professional Events – Roberto Miranda / Lorena Reich What we want to accomplish • Global Business Conference – March, 2005 • Organization traditionally led by LABA and EMA • Last year’s keynote speaker: Stanley Fisher (for this year not yet confirmed) • LABA Members get a discount • Possible Conference on Latin America in conjunction with other top b-schools (Columbia, Tuck and others) • Brown Bag Lunches • Explore issues of interest in Latin A./Spain by inviting leading experts • Invite members of companies/banks to network and explore recruiting opportunities More information in our website: www.stern.nyu.edu/~laba

VP Recruiting – Sebastián Acuto / Carlos Villareal What we want to accomplish • Help students be better prepared for the recruiting process • - Review resumes and prepare resume book • - Organize latin american-specific recruiting panels to get insights from MBA2s • - Organize mock interviews • - Advise MBA1s throughout the process • Maximize networking opportunities for our members • - Organize a career fair trip to Texas • - Organize events with prospect companies in Latam and US 1st year VP Recruiting • - Collaborate with the creation and distribution of LABA’s Resume book • - Organize and promote MBA2 recruiting panels • - Assist in the organization of the trip to Texas • …a great networking opportunity… More information in our website: www.stern.nyu.edu/~laba

VP Alumni - Juan Martin Aguiar / Matias Brechner What we want to accomplish • Enhance the LABA Alumni database – Already in progress • Organize Alumni events in Latin America – NYC, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Peru during Fall 2004 and Spring 2005 • Coordinate the services that LABA can provide to its country members – Web pages per region, alumni directory and contact list, etc. • Help recruiting to reach potential local job opportunities for students More information in our website: www.stern.nyu.edu/~laba

  16. How to become a 1st year officerNomination/Election Rules • Apply for max. 2 positions in order of preference • Send e-mail to laba@stern.nyu.edu with resume AND 1 paragraph stating why wants to join LABA • Needs to be a 1st yr officer to later run for president in the next election

How to become a 1st year officer Process, aprox. ~1 week Nomination Selection Communication • Send an email to LABA indicating your interest (Select more than one position if you want) • Deadline to send email is: • Sep 19th 05:00 PM • Every 2nd year VP will interview candidates for their areas (9/20~9/22) • Officers will meet and decide on candidates (9/23) • Everyone will be communicated of the decision via phone or email • Sep 24th Friday
