  1. 5 Useful Ways to Make Soccer-Drilling Interesting & Fun Football training can become boring for children unless there are some fun activities. Soccer drills for the ages 7-9, if done in the correct way, can prove to be more efficient to make the child appropriate for the school team in the future. In recent times many players are working on the wrong skills or are not receiving the right training. Drilling is an important way to get the children motivated in the game of soccer. Moreover, drilling is a vital aspect for junior football training Swindon. Before any outdoor game, having the perfect warm up exercise is a prerequisite to increase the focus & motivation of the child. In this article, we shall discuss some useful tips on soccer drills & how to make it interesting. 1. Provide a logical explanation- When you provide reason what & why you are doing, you will notice that the kids will become much more interested than before. Similarly, when they know why they are doing something it helps them to make sense of how they can use it in a game. You will see

  2. that the children are all perked up & excited for soccer. This extra preparation gives them more motivation to do their best. 2. Add agility- For children in the age group 7-9, they need a balance between coordination & agility. If they have some training in this sphere, it is seen that they can handle basic agility movements easily once they reach the age group of 10-11. from the age of 7 or below that, children can do a lot of great agility drills. For example: Hopscotch exercises are extremely good for any age as it has a dual role-it helps in coordination as well as makes the child happy. 3. Foot skills are key to development- If there is one skill where the players can get better every time they work with the ball, it has to be the footskills. Doing the drills correctly will help the children to use the correct part of the foot & will also help them to bend their knees. When practicing foot skills/ dribbling, using the correct part of the foot is important because the player then improves after time the right way. 4. Striking for power & distance- At this age, it is very difficult for children to strike for power & distance unless they become 10 or 12 years old. For ages 7-9, the children must be introduced to the proper way of kicking the ball so that they may practice it each week. Remember that the more you teach them, the more they will forget it. So they must be reminded of how to kick now & then & other fundamentals like the correct part of the foot that must be used, where to kick the ball, opposite arm should be up & out, the ankle should be locked & so on. 5. Using the inside of the foot- Most of the kicks for soccer will be from the inside of the foot. For the age 7-9, the children may take a lot of time & rehearsals to pick up this skill & excel in it. Make sure that the form is right or else they will spend unnecessary time that will help them to develop bad habits. If the children achieve fruitful guidance from junior football training in Swindon, they can get to know the right way to kick the ball. Gradually the children will be taught the various ways by which the ball can be passed so that they will have more options in hand when they would be independently playing in their teams, in the future. Having the right soccer drills & tips is important to enjoy the essence of playing soccer. The more you make the game interesting, the easier it will be for the children to grasp the game.
