  3. Collaborative Innovation Language A deep understanding of a situation or behavior that unlocks an issue, need or opportunity. Insight A broadly defined opportunity area for innovation based on market, category and consumer trends, need states and/or occasions. Opportunity Space A more narrowly defined area for innovation with a set of common elements, such as design or formula, that capitalizes on the Opportunity Space. Platform The creative process of generating ideas in a collaborative environment with a cross-functional group of stakeholders and strategic partners. Ideation Workshop An expression of an innovation idea that describes the characteristics, qualities, features and benefits. Concept An early stage sample or model of the innovation idea built to evaluate the concept and obtain feedback for refinement. Protocept Prototype A gold standard sample ready for manufacturing.
