  1. Introducing FitClub’s 1043-kilometre race to raise money for Smile Train With the Olympics well underway in Tokyo, Japan in 2021, the team at Fitfactory – a leading provider of MRP systems – have been inspired to put on their running shoes and raise money for Cleft-focused NGO, Smile Train. Hot on the heels of the impressive Glod Medal feats of Team GB athletes in the triathlon mixed relay; the Fitfactory team are keen to try their hand at it too. Throughout August, the whole company will be involved in running and cycling the distance between their 4 offices in Daresbury, Cardiff, Fleet and Stockton-on-Tees, totalling 1043km! And, it will all be done in support of the world’s leading Cleft-focused NGO, Smile Train! Since its inception, Smile Train has supported more cleft surgeries than other global cleft charities, and it follows a simple premise that every child deserves to smile. Approximately 1 in 700 babies are born with a cleft lip and/or palate globally, resulting in difficulties eating, breathing, hearing and speaking. Over the last 20+ years, Smile Train has supported safe and quality cleft care for 1.5+ million children, by funding cleft surgeries, partnering with local hospitals and investing in training programmes for doctors in countries across the world.

It begins from Fitfactory’s Head Quarters in Daresbury, Cheshire, before going down to their new Cardiff office in Wales, Fleet in Surrey, and making the long journey up the M1 to Stockton-on-Tees, and finishing back in Cheshire.
