The Problem • High Concentration of Indigenous Crime • Majority of this crime stems from the youth which presents social complications. • This poses a threat to the community as a whole if it is not addressed properly • The key area in which proper implementation is not executed is the process of diversion.

  3. Youth Impact on Crime • This graph is a representation of the quantity of Indigenous crime among youth in Australia • The percentage of crimes committed by youth is %87.04 out of the 8,236. This is incredibly high, especially in comparison to crime rates among the non-indigenous people.

  4. Re-Contact • A large proportion of offences re-committed are by the indigenous people • Of this proportion, the majority are male • Of the male proportion of offenders the majority are youth.
