  2. Overview • Let Date: June 13, 2018 • Contractor: Kiewit Louisiana Co. • Bid amount: $35 million • Contract time: 365 days, weather permitting • Notice to Proceed: September 16, 2018 • Expected start: late Nov. 2018 – early Jan. 2019 • Expected completion: Nov. 2019 – Jan. 2020

Eastbound Construction Phase • Both eastbound lanes will be closed • Westbound bridge will be open for two-way traffic • Optional third lane closure Mondays through Thursdays nights from9 p.m. to 4 a.m. • It will only allow westbound traffic toward Sulphur. • The closure is dependent on the contractor.

Westbound Construction Phase • Similar pattern after eastbound work is finished • Both westbound lanes will be closed and Eastbound bridge will be open for two-way traffic • Optional third lane closure Mondays through Thursdays nights from9 p.m. to 4 a.m. • It will only allow eastbound traffic toward Lake Charles. • The closure is dependent on the contractor.

Third Lane Closure Option • The contractor shall provide five calendar days notice when utilizing the option. • Third lane closures will not be allowed on the following holidays: • New Year’s, Mardi Gras, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. • Notices of a third lane closure will be posted on MyDOTD.
