  1. Winter is one of the seasons of temperates zone. It is the season with the shortest days and the lowest temperatures. In areas further away from the equator, winter is often marked by snow.

  2. Snowman - Yetti • The Snowman is a man-like figure counstructed fronm balls of compacted snow. The image of a snowman is popularly connected with Christmas and is embedded in Western culture. Building a snowman is popular winter recreation for children. There are countlees styles of snowmen arcoss different cultures, but all of them fellow the basic pronciples.

  3. Santa Claus The popular American form Santa Claus originated as a mispronunciation of Dutch Sinterklaas, which is a contracted form of Sint Nicolaas (Saint Nicholas). Santa Claus has a suit that comes in many colors depending on the country.

  4. Winter Games The Winter Olympic Games or the Olympic Winter Games, are a winter multi-sport event held every four years. They feature winter sports held on ice snow, such as ice skating and skiing. The most recent games were hedl in Turino, Italy in 2006, and the next games will be hled in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 2010.
