  2. HUMPBACK WHALES • Humpback whales are in Queensland, they are quite popular and smart. They are 16 meters long! • Their usually up to 16 meters but females are slightly bigger. • Their weight is roughly 40-45 tones. • They are very fast whales and are so cute.

  3. DID YOU KNOW? Queensland has more than 4 million people living there. Queensland’s first railway opened in July 1865! On May 18 1907, women voted for the first time. The Great Barrier Reef is one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

  4. ATTRACTIONS IN QUEENSLAND • Australia Zoo is 1hour from Brisbane it has all the Australian animals. It is also the home of Steve Irwin, the famous Crocodile Hunter. • Big Banana is in Coffs Harbour opened in 1964. It has rides like The Big Kahuna and Laser Tag. • Big Pineapple is on the Sunshine Coast and it has a 16 metre high pineapple at the entrance.

  5. Movie World was made in 1991. It has movie themed ridesfor both adults and kids. Sea world was made in 1958. It used to be called Surfers Paradise Ski Gardens when it first opened. It has rides for all ages and you can go see a water show and play with the Dolphins. Dream world was opened on December 15 1981. It also has rides for all ages and sizes.

  6. POPULAR BIRDS Brush Turkey birds are very popular in Queensland, they are also called Scrub Turkeys. LOOKS A dark black body, usually a red head and a yellow neck. They are popular because they are found in a lot of areas, and every one loves looking at all there beautiful colors.

  7. RAINBOW BEACHis about 265km from Brisbane, near Fraser Island.Rainbow Beach is a vibrant town with a relaxed atmosphere. It is very popular for holidays. Did you know 74 different shades of colored sand.
