  2. Website: http://www.learnnc.org/scos • On this website, you can access lesson plans for your grade level specifically aligned with the NCSCS. • For example, Graphing with 2nd graders…I found a lesson where we made a concrete graph with M & M’s, made a paper graph with it, then graphed it in the computer lab.

  3. Website: http://www.linkslearning.org/Kids/_index.html • On this website, you can go view illustrated math lessons that have short activities to go with the lessons. • Symmetry is one example. They show all aspects of symmetry, then give short activities for the kids to interact with. • They also have read along audio stories. • Science and Study Skills are coming soon.

  4. Website: http://brainpopjr.com/ • On this website, you can do whole lessons to go with Math, Science, Health, Reading, Writing, and Social Studies. • You can show short videos to go with each lesson, do online activities, print hard copy activities, and also print easy/hard quizzes. • This is one site I thought was most useful.

  5. Website: http://www.brainpop.com/ • This is the same as BrainPop Jr, it just covers from about 4th grade up through high school.

  6. Website: http://streaming.discoveryeducation.com/index.cfm • On this website, you can download videos or video segments to go with your lessons. • Most of you are probably familiar with this, so I won’t elaborate.

  7. Website: http://puzzlemaker.discoveryeducation.com/ • On this website, you can create numerous puzzle type activities using words from spelling, vocabulary, etc. • I use this website a lot to create word searches with spelling words, reading vocabulary words, and science words.

  8. Other Websites: • http://www.sascurriculumpathways.com/ProductEntrance/Login/login.jsp • http://www.ncwiseowl.org/ • http://www.ncwiseowl.org/kscope • http://www.studyisland.com/ • http://www.gaston.k12.nc.us/departments/techinstr/CST/index.htm

  10. Closing and Assignment • At this time, please pick one website to navigate through. • Pick one way this website can be used in your classroom. • Design a lesson plan from that website that you can use in your classroom at some time in the remainder of the year. • Share that lesson plan with the group.
