  2. Computer Appropriate Inappropriate When you keep food and drinks by or next to the computer, there may be spills and the computer will break. • When you keep food and drinks far away from the computer, the computer continues to work.

  3. Keyboard Appropriate Inappropriate When do not wash your hands, the keys may get sticky making it hard to type. Germs spread when you do not wash your hands and you may get sick. • When you wash your hands before using the computer, the keyboard stays clean making it easier to press the keys. • This also keeps away germs.

  4. Monitor Appropriate Inappropriate When you touch the monitor, the monitor gets dirty and is hard to read. • When you keep your fingers or hands off of the monitor, the monitor stays clean and is easy to read.

  5. Monitor Appropriate Inappropriate When pens, pencils, markers, crayons are brought to the computer the monitor will get marks on it making it hard to read. • Keep pens, pencils, markers, crayons away from the computer to keep the monitor clean and free of marks.

  6. Mouse Appropriate Inappropriate Pounding the mouse on the computer desk will break the mouse. • Keep the mouse on the computer desk.

  7. Headphones Appropriate Inappropriate When you spread headphones to far apart they may break in half. When you pull on the chord the headphones break and you will no longer have headphones. • When putting headphones on be careful not to spread them too far apart. • When you do not pull on the cord the headphones will not break.

  8. Printers Appropriate Inappropriate When you do not ask an adult you may lose computer time. • Always ask an adult before you print.
