  3. CHIETA ACCREDITATION REQUIREMENTS (Cont.) Assessors and Moderators Constituently assessors and moderators must be registered for programmes that needs to be accredited.   4. QCTO/ NAMB ACCREDITATION (Trade related) Once the SETA accreditation is due to expire in six month time – complete the National NAMB/QCTO application form. All practicing trade test assessors and moderators to ensure validity of their registration with NAMB. Trade test schedule : To be submitted 5 days prior each month end. Candidates will not be recognised unless appearing on the list. Trade test evidence to be always available when required for external moderations. IMPORTANT NOTE TO SDPs: - Ensure learners enrolment with CHIETA prior commencing training.

LEARNING PROGRAMES ENTRY REQUIREMENTS-Trade Related (TTR 2014) • N2 Certificate including four relevant subjects of maths, engineering science and fourth subject as required by the trade • Technical trade theory programs quality assured by a SETA deemed to be equivalent to NQF 3 • Relevant Engineering NCV certificate with seven subjects at NQF 3 • Technical Grade 11 WITH Maths, Science, Language and related trade theory subject • Relevant (directly related to the trade theory subjects)N6 certificate or National Technical Diploma ( T, S or N stream)

  8. STIPENDS • Stipends are calculated in terms of the Sectoral Determination for Learning Programme Agreements. • Workplaces may “top-up” the stipend during workplace experience – but is not required.

The purpose of the SETA Workplace -Based Learning Programme Agreement Regulations is to provide for - • the addition of the terms "candidacy ", and "internship ", which are common forms of workplace -based learning, are added to the definition of "learning programme as included in Annexure A; (2) the preparation, submission, registration and management of workplace -based learning programme and skills programme agreements, the management of disputes and certain administrative arrangements; and (3) the repeal of the Learnership Regulations published in Notice R519 (Government GazetteNo. 30010) dated 29 June 2007 as a whole.
