  2. What is the Luftwaffe? • The Luftwaffe was the German air force in WW2 • Luftwaffe : air force • Founded : 1933 • Abolished : 1945 • Led by Hermann Goering

  3. Messerschmitt Bf-109 "Gustav“ This plane was difficult to control, but deadly in the hands of a skilled pilot. Focke-Wulf 190 "Wurger“ The Fw-190 was, in many opinions, one of Germany's three best fighters of WWII! (The three being the Fw-190, Bf109, and Me262) Fighter Planes

  4. Messerschmitt 262 "Schwalbe“ First jet engine to enter the war. Known as The Me262 Hitler delayed the development of this plane. Because it was delayed entering the war it could not stop the allies bombing Germany.

  5. Heinkel 111 The He-111 was one of the first German bombers to participate in the bombing of Britain. Junkers Ju 87 Stuka The Ju-87 Stuka wasa dive-bomber and was greatly feared. The Ju-87 did not stand a chance against some of Britains planes, so Hitler decide to stop the Blitzkrieg on Britain. Bombing planes

  6. Junkers Ju 88 "Mistel“ This plane could drop bombs on the English Channel or towns and cities and get away quickly. But the Luftwaffe lost a lot of Ju-88s. It was adive bomber, level bomber, night fighter, day interceptor, photo reconnaissance, and tank destroyer. Dornier Do 17 Its nickname was the "Flying Pencil." It was one of the main medium-bombers. It occasionally attacked at night.
