  3. Scholarship recipients • Students with endowed scholarship awards should have received an email about an early arrival time. • Plan to arrive outside the bookstore at 3:15pm for a group photo on the Grand Staircase. • Representatives from the Communications Department will be onsite to coordinate the photo and direct you back for the processional line up.

  4. Instructions for Students • Students must arrive to Labs 144 and 146 no later than 4:00pm to line up for the processional. • Please review the processional detail and ceremony diagrams to determine your place in the line up and assigned seat. • Clinic attire (TEC) is required dress for the ceremony and will include the addition of ties for male students. • The clinic dress code can be found at the following link (page 17 of the Clinical Protocol Manual): https://studentsco.sharepoint.com/clinic/pce/Shared%20Documents/Clinical%20Protocol%20Manual/Clinical%20Protocol%20Manual.pdf

Processional instructions • Students will process down the center aisle into the Academic Complex paired in North and South order. • Students will divide at the at their respective row and proceed to their corresponding side for seating. (see diagram) • Remain standing until all students are assembled and the platform party is in place. • Dr. Reich will take the podium and all may be seated.

  10. CEREMONY instructions (see diagram) • Students will be called in alphabetical order to receive their white coats and sign the honor code. • Weston Acosta will begin the coating ceremony. He will lead the row for the line-up and subsequent lines will fall in as the ceremony progresses. • JacequelineMalish will lead the second half of the class seated in the North Classroom. • Students will proceed to receive their white coat. • They will then turn back to sign the honor code directly in front of the center podium and be directed to the photo mark to receive an individual copy of the oath. • Students will return to their row by walking behind the podium and will be seated in reverse order.

  13. recessional instructions • Students will rise as a class when the music starts. • Weston Acosta (S1) and Jacqueline Malish (N1) will lead the recessional. • Students will meet at the first row of desks at the front of the room and recess down the center aisle out of the Academic Complex paired by North and South order.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR GUESTS • Guests should plan to arrive to campus no earlier than 3:45pm. • Enter through the 1245 Madison (Tower) entrance. • Registration tables with BBQ wristband pick up will be set up in the first floor lobby. • Parking will be designated by “Event Parking” signs. SCO security officers will be onsite to assist visitors.

Post-ceremony Celebration • Class of 2023 and guests are invited to attend a Memphis-style BBQ in the south lot immediately following the ceremony. • Students and guests must register to receive their wristbands for admittance into the post-ceremony BBQ event. https://www.sco.edu/white-coat-ceremony
