  1. Wedding Planning Checklist for Groom

  2. The checklist for the Groom You’ve met the girl of your dreams and are ready to take a vow with your love. Congratulations! Trust us, this is going to be one of the most exciting days of your life. Frasers’ Event is here for you to help you plan and execute so you will remember your big day for a lifetime. Let’s start planning one year in advance. Excited? So we are: 12 months left With 12 months left for your wedding, cut your to-do list into bite-sized pieces to make your wedding planning a breeze! ● It’s time to take every detail seriously, considering the venue, budget, guest list, and wedding planner. It’s time to pop the question! What kind of ring she wants? You should know her ring size. The best way to find out is to sneak a ring she often wears or ask her best friend or her mum. Don’t forget to pick out a reception location. Places might be booked up very early, especially in the summer months. Work with your fiancée to finalise and confirm the guest list for the wedding. ● ●

  3. 6 months out ● Do you both want a honeymoon? If so, where would you like to go? If you’re itching to travel overseas, now’s a great time to find your passport and decide on your dream destination. Picking your groomsmen and best man is handy for the stag party. Start the conversation with them (if you’re planning on having a celebration) and make the relevant enquiries, especially if you’re dreaming of an epic boys’ trip! Plan your mode of transportation well in advance. You don’t want to scramble for a ride at the last minute. ● ● 3 months out ● Now that you and your partner have hopefully hashed out all of the essential details, it’s time to send out the invitations to make things official. Once you have a general idea of what you and your spouse-to-be will wear, start shopping for outfits with your groomsmen and best man. If you’re getting suits tailor-made, you’ll want to take care of this sooner rather than later, as some fabrics might need to be specially ordered. Get your fingers sized for your wedding rings. Call your jeweller and start the process if you’re opting for a custom ring design. ● ●

  4. 1 month out ● Try the suit on again and take care of any alterations, so you’re not scrambling at the last minute. Remember that scene in Father of the Bride where the groom’s suit didn’t fit, and he had to wear a pair of old overalls? Don’t let that be you! Your rings should be ready to pick up by now, so make sure you store them somewhere safe. ● Finally, it’s your wedding day! The day you’ve been waiting for is finally here! You might be feeling a little anxious, but don’t worry – all your worries will disappear when you see your partner walking down the aisle. After all the months of planning, it’s time to soak up every moment. Allow yourself to be astonished at the sight of your new spouse while focusing on how blessed you are to be surrounded by so many people you love.
