  4. IT Strategic Plan • Draft of Initial Statement Distributed • Potential Opportunities • Revitalize our Student Environment • Grow our technology Environment • Build on foundations to support Research/Administration • Usability, delivery and support of IT

  5. 1. Revitalize our Student Environment • Remote access to specialized software • Mobile applications • Connectivity • Portal • Co-op (replacing Jobmine)

  6. 2. Grow technology environment • Means for setting University directions for teaching and learning • Create avenues towards next technology • Work with D2L to build learn • Increase support for collaborations tools • Evolve technologies deployed in classes

  7. 3. Build IT foundations • Work with stewards of data top provide • Improve data centers • Consider cloud use services • Provide local storage if need for things such as dropbox/video/audio/etc.

  8. 4. Usability, delivery and support of IT • Integrated help desks • Improve communications • Fix usability problems • Develop a usability resource • Provide software distribution online • IT staff development
