  3. 90 % of Ipv4 addresses are used What is Ipv6 ? Why will we use it ?

  4. The primary change from IPv4 to IPv6 is the length of network addresses. IPv6 addresses are 128 bits long , typically written as 32 hex digits. This gives a total of 2^128 or 3.4×10^38 addresses, enough to provide an IPv6 /48 network block for every 10 square metres on earth. Ipv6 vs Ipv4

  5. The addresses : IPv6 addresses are usually composed of two logical parts: a 64-bit network prefix, and a 64-bit host-addressing part, which is often automatically generated from the interface MAC address. Ipv6 - addresses

  6. 2001:0DB8:0000:0000:0000:0000:1428:57ab 2001:0DB8:0000:0000:0000::1428:57ab 2001:0DB8:0:0:0:0:1428:57ab 2001:0DB8:0::0:1428:57ab 2001:0DB8::1428:57ab Ipv6 - addresses

  7. For standard IPv6 hexadecimal, the IPv4 address 192.0.2.52 translates into hexadecimal as 0xC0000234, and is thus converted to an IPv6 address as 0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:C000:0234 or ::C000:234. Ipv4 to Ipv6

  9. Ipv6 - packets

  10. The IPv6 packet is composed of two main parts: the header and the payload. The header is in the first 40 octets of the packet and contains both source and destination addresses (128 bits each), as well as the version (4-bit IP version), traffic class (8 bits, Packet Priority), flow label (20 bits, QoS management), payload length (16 bits), next header (8 bits), and hop limit (8 bits, time to live). Ipv6 packets

  11. Since 2003 , society like France Telecom can reserve there own Ipv6 network. For example FT is : 2001:688::/32 Ipv6 deployment

  12. Many devices in networks are already prepared to receive the Ipv6 (cf : cisco networks) Nerim or Free telecom , in France , sold high bandwidth to society. Ipv6 - Deployment
