Paulo Freire • Born September 19th, 1921 to a middle class family in Recife, Brazil • Studied Law at University of Recife in 1943 • Studied philosophy and psychology of language • He was ready to take the bar but instead became a teacher • Social Reconstructionist • Jailed because of his philosophy • Exiled himself to Bolivia.
