VPF annex B, Proposal to Industry • The Annex B could be a by-product of VPF data production system software development. • There is a requirement & market for a VPF solution • There are many VPF reading legacy systems • A NATO GMWG endorsed Annex B is necessary • GMWG to specify VPF requirement • How much of the S-57 capability can we concede • Define an acceptable, pragmatic level of functionality in light of experience gained • Build on the work of the HIHWG and continue into the AML & TOD content models as recommended by IDON. • The company or industry consortium which develops the system and annex B is first to market following GMWG endorsement
