A good laugh is often called stationery exercise for endorphins are released giving you a feeling of well being! • Depression causes a person to lead a more sedentary life, therefore, the body does not operate efficiently. Lack of exercise, poor eating habits and a lack of focus and direction can eventually lead to your metabolism slowing down. • A slower metabolism means that your body is not getting food and nutrients to all the various cells, organs, tissues and muscles as efficiently. 10. “ Our clowns are trained in one-child bedside clowning. We empower the child by offering choices, providing relief from the hospital environment which often removes all of the child's sense of personal empowerment and control. We display respect for the child by offering the choice of a clown visit, by listening, and by letting the child lead us in our play. We use improvisational clowning, a skill we have developed through our professional training and years of experience.” Hearts & Noses Hospital Clown Troupe (Boston)

When you smile you also release endorphins or hormones that create an internal calmness and happy feelings. 23. E. Researchers who study smiling are called gelotologists. They are the ones who come up with such discoveries as the fact that humans can instinctively differentiate between smiles that are "felt", and those that are just a social convention. According to them, the real smile is in the eyes.Trade a false smile with your table partner, now give a genuine smile! Look closely at the eyes!

  24. Young people tend to smile more easily and openly than older people, and of all smilers, more are women than men. In fact, studies have shown that American males with high testosterone levels smile the least of all. When you see something pleasing, beautiful, or humorous, most people will smile spontaneously. That's not because you have been taught to respond that way through life experience, either. Babies are actually born with the emotional fabric to smile when feeling pleasurable.

  25. Discovered some years ago by a scientist Candace Pert, endorphins are very powerful drugs….they are much better at pain relief than anything we can synthetically manufacture. A simple smiley face can release endorphins.
