  1. Things STRANGE “If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good.” Joshua 24:20 (KJV)

  2. STRANGE THINGS • STRANGE FIRE What the Lord did not command Leviticus 10:1-2; Psalm 19:13; 2 Peter 2:9-10

  3. Leviticus 10:1-2 (kjv) And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. 2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

  4. Psalm 19:13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression.

  5. 2 Peter 2:9-10 The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries…

  6. STRANGE THINGS • STRANGE FIRE What the Lord did not command Leviticus 10:1-2; Psalm 19:13; 2 Peter 2:9-10 • STRANGE WOMAN The Sin of Adultery Proverbs 2:16-17; Matthew 19:9; Hebrews 13:4

  7. Proverbs 2:16-17 (kjv) To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words; 17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.

  8. Matthew 19:9 “And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery.”

  9. Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

  10. STRANGE THINGS • STRANGE FIRE What the Lord did not command Leviticus 10:1-2; Psalm 19:13; 2 Peter 2:9-10 • STRANGE WOMAN The Sin of Adultery Proverbs 2:16-17; Matthew 19:9; Hebrews 13:4 • STRANGE DOCTRINES Foreign to the Apostle’s Doctrine Hebrews 13:9; Galatians 1:6-9; 1 Timothy 1:3-4

  11. Hebrews 13:9 (kjv) Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

  12. Galatians 1:6-9 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

  13. 1 Timothy 1:3-4 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia--remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine, 4 nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith.

  14. God’s word becomes STRANGE to us when we “refuse knowledge” CONCLUSION “My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6) “I have written to him [Ephraim] the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.” (Hosea 8:12) (KJV)
