Always use “ser” to express … the day or date Where or When An events “TAKES PLACE” • Hoy esmartes. = Today is Tuesday. • Hoy es el 8 de noviembre de 2010. = Today is November 8, 2010. • El partidoesen el estadio. = The game is at the stadium. • La misaesa lasocho de la mañana. = The mass is at 8:00 a.m.

(smart) • La chicaesmala. = The girl is bad. • Pablo esaburrido. = Pablo is boring. • La frutaesverde. = The fruit is green. • Somosseguros. = We are safe. • El perroesvivo. = The dog is lively.
