The Foundation of Christianity is being attacked. • In school we’re being taught that science has found evidence proving that the earth is billions of years old. • One of the pieces of evidence used to show the earth is billions of years old is through the fossil record and by the use of radiometric dating.

We know that dinosaurs existed because we have the fossil evidence that we can see, we can dig up and reassemble and get a picture of what they could have looked like. • These fossils are being presented to our youth as being millions of years old based on the scientific method of radiometric dating, or carbon dating.

This presents a problem for teens as they progress thorough school. • Do I continue to believe what I’ve been taught at church, or do I take what I’m being taught in school as scientifically proven fact? • Some churches have begun to try to work the theory of evolution with creation. • How can we take the bible literally anymore?

9. As Christians we are required to be ready to defend our faith whenever it is challenged. It is extremely important we are ready to defend the foundation of our faith when it comes under attack even by “scientific” methods. 1 Peter 3:15 but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,
