  2. Kristallnacht “ Night of The Broken Glass” http://www.ushmm.org/museum/exhibit/online/kristallnacht/frame.htm On November 9, 1938 there was a tragedy. It was called Kristallnacht or “Night of the Broken Glass.” All of Germany was destroyed. Homes, offices, small and large, and costly and inexpensive town shuls were destroyed. Glass was smashed and buildings were burned. This night marked the real beginning of tragedy to the Jews.

  3. Kapo http://www.criterion.com/films/22619-kapo Kapos were prisoner's in the concentration camps. Kapo held the power of life and death over the prisoners in their group. Many were put on trial after war. They were charged with war crimies and crimes against humanity. Many changed their names and tried to pretend that they too had victims.

This camp was in empty weapon factories. Theodor Sick became commandant in June 1933. They had 5,000 prisoners, 10,000 Jews interned in Dachau, and 3,166 inmates from Dachau were gassed. Systemic murder of the Jews began in 1942.

  5. Death Marches http://www.ushmm.org/wlc/en/article.php?ModuleId=10005162 Death Marches took place in the final stage of the war. The first march took place in Poland, 1940. 3,600 prisoners were forced to march to Kunto. Thousands of Jews were forced to march. First major death march began July 28, 1944. 1,000 prisoners were murdered on the march to Kunto. If they were to weak, the Nazi would kill them.

  6. Chelmo http://www.museumoffamilyhistory.com/hmna-bklyn-hmp.htm Chelmo was the first Nazi camp. It was an extermination camp. It was destined to serve as a center for the extermination of Jews. It was set up into two sites. The first site is Camp in the Scholss and an old palace. The second site is the Woldlarger, a camp in the adjacent Rzuwowski Forest. 320,000 people were put to death in the Chelmo Camp.
