Resource Sharing Workshop for Primary School Arabic Teachers

Sharing of educational resources for primary school Arabic teachers, hosted by DC area Arabic Teachers Council and led by Layali Eshqaidef. The workshop aims to provide a platform for educators to exchange tools and skills to enhance Arabic language teaching in the US. Guest speakers Raeda Alnabulsi and Kanza Rafay also contribute insights. Resources include reading, writing, listening, speaking, cultural materials, and various online tools and platforms. Participants collaborate to recommend and share their favorite resources.

  2. ً لاهسو ً لاهأ The main objective of this workshop is to share resources amongst primary school Arabic teachers everywhere, but particularly in the US context. This workshop is part of a series of workshops organized by the DC area Arabic Teachers Council (DC ATC) hosted by the Institute for Middle East Studies at The George Washington University in Washington, DC.

  3. Presenter Layali Eshqaidef (leshqaidef@gmail.com) Layali is the President and Founder of Kalimah Programs for Arabic Culture and Arts (KalimahPrograms.org). She is passionate about Arabic language and has been teaching it for many years. She has initiated, designed, developed, and directed various play-based, STEAM-focused language and culture immersion programs. As an aspiring author, she shares her journey on @layaliwrites and @LayaliOZ. Guest Speakers Raeda Alnabulsi (Raeda.Alnabulsi@houstonisd.org) Kanza Rafay (Kanzasamad@gmail.com) Raeda is a certified bilingual elementary teacher at the Arabic Immersion Magnet School in Houston, TX. As a TELPAS rater and instructional leader, she facilitates PD at her and other school districts. She enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and friends. Kanza has been teaching elementary kids Quranic Arabic, Tafseer and Islamic studies for the past three years. She loves to make classes engaging for her students and tries to find new hands-on and online activities to make instruction fun.
