  3. TRAINING CAMPS • 1st camp October -Home • 2nd camp January – Warm weather • 3rd camp March and April – Warm weather • 4th camp June - Altitude • 5th camp August - Altitude

  4. RECOVERY PHASE • Holidays • Only regeneration intensity • Time to do different things • Time to prepare equipment for next season • Time to think of next season • Time for coaches to plan next season

  5. BASIC PREPARATION PHASE • Regular progression of volume • Little speed work • Strenght work • Testing • MTB and cross country…

  6. PREPARATION PHASE • Multiple goals in each mesocycle • General strenght work • Some control races • Warm weather training camps • Intensity increases slightly

  7. SPECIFIC PHASE • Each sessions has a specific goal • Specific work increases • Specific strenght work increases • More competitions • Test work to be exact

  8. COMPETITION PHASE • Reason why we have trained whole year • Main race phase: • European championship • World championship • Very specific • Cycle 1 ends, cycle 2 begins
