  2. Mesopotamia • Isis a name for the Tigris–Euphrates region in the eastern Mediterranean, largely corresponding to Iraq, as well as northeastern Syria, some parts of southeastern Turkey, and some parts of the Khūzestān Province of southwestern Iran.

  3. Tigris • IS the eastern member of the two great rivers that define mesopotamia along with Euphrates, which flows from the mountains of southeastern turkey through Iraq.

  4. Euphrates • IS the western of the two great rivers that define Mesopotamia the otherbeing the Tigris which flows from Anatolia through Iraq

  5. Sargon • also known as Sargon the Great” The Great King" Akkadian Šarru-kinu, cuneiform , meaning "the true king" or "the king is legitimate", was an Akkadian emperor famous for his conquest of the Sumerian city-states in the 24th and 23rd centuries BC.

  6. Sumer • Land of the Lords of Brightness", Akkadian: Šumeru; possibly Biblical Shinar was a civilization and historical region in southern Iraq Mesopotamia. It is the earliest known civilization in the world and is known as the Cradle of Civilization.
