  2. Grant objectives The overall objective of the NGO Fund is strengthened civil society development and enhanced contribution to social justice, democracy and sustainable development. The aim of the internship grant is to support Hungarian NGO professionals to visit and learn from the practical experience of NGOs (hereinafter referred to as host organizations) working in the Donor States (Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein). - to “import” and adapt good practices of the host countries’ NGOs in the fields of advocacy, community participation, constituency building and fundraising thereby broadening the scope, the tools and methods available to Hungarian NGOs. PhD in Linguistics (Cognitive Linguistics) (Eötvös University, 2013) BA in Psychology (Szeged University, 2009) MA in Hungarian Literature and Linguistics (2005)

Fields of interests • Research: • qualitative research methods, linking linguistics and social science (metaphors and patterns), interdisciplinary approach; • characteristics of female drug use; • agency and responsiblity • Practice: • protective factors of drug usage; • community development; • volunteering

Services - self-help group founded in 2006 by recreational drug user young mothers - 1-3 three days a week in personal, a telephone hotline is held seven days a week - financialy supported by NGOs and private donors (14%). The maintainence is mainly supported by European Union funds (69%) and partly by the Hungarian Central Government (17%). • Anonymous, free low-threshold care services: • - Mental health consultation, • - Psychologist – psychosocial consultation; • Addiction consultation • Social workers, • Teachers, • Lawyers, • Psychologists • - Obstetrician-gynecologist, • - Nurses • Regular programs: • - Child's play, • - Film club, • - Interactive music and theatre games

  8. Characteristics of clients(from 2011, 7608 contacts, 1281 registered clients, 66 persons’ socio-demographic data)

  9. Objectives of the stay9th September – 10th December 2013 • 1. Acquirement of Kirkens Bymisjon’s everyday ”NGO” life. Focusing on feasibility, communication, volunteer work, fundraising. • 2. Active participation in Kirkens Bymisjon Research Unit’s work by participating on conferences, making presentation on comparing Hungarian and Norwegian practices especially in services for addicted women. • 3. Acquirement of Norway’s drug policy and communication activities especially in case of addicted women.

Methods • Visiting different servicesof Kirkens Bymisjon (participation) • Interviews with inside and outsideexperts • Interviews with participants, users • Gathering and analyzing data on client routes, documents and analysing communication, fundraising plan and policies (document analysis) • Participating on different professional meetings, conferences (e.g. ESSD conference, Norwegian Health Ministry meeting) • Visiting governmental institutions e.g. SIRUS • Reading scientific papers, reviews, documents recommended by experts from KB.
