Problems with Current Situation • FOR PERSONNEL BEING TRANSFERRED • Lack of automation in the transfer process leads to inefficiency • Stress on the person and family being moved • Lack of productivity upon arrival at new post given activities to complete that could have been started earlier • Lack of information available about the new post: housing options, schools, services • FOR MANAGERS OF PERSONNEL BEING TRANSFERRED • The process of moving people from location to location is highly administrative and takes too long • Easy visibility into staffing levels may not exist • Understanding progress on transfer readiness is difficult to observe • Enforcing accountability on instructions communicated to personnel is difficult • All of these inefficiencies result in losses to productivity and time that should be spent on mission critical objectives!
