  3. 導論 • Intro. Three kinds of network applications. • Multimedia conference, AOD/VOD, Web search • Hardware required • IBM PC with sound card and video input device • There will be about two sets in EC229. • Two bonus experiments provided. • Install LDAPand ILSservice • Creating AOD/VOD web site

  4. Microsoft NetMeeting • Free and bonded in IE distribution • Text, audio, and video conference • Shared application and digital white board • Support H.320, H.323 • SDK provided

  5. MS NetMeeting – 硬體 VGA /w TV-In/Out NT : 1500~ CCD NT : 1500~ V8 NT : 20000~ Intro A/VOD Reference NetMeeting Searching

  7. MS-NetMeeting – 開始使用 • Connect to ILS Server • Establish conference • Use digital white board and chatting

  8. 線上影音欣賞 • Play multimedia information via RealPlayer • D/L service information file from web. • Connect to server and playback. • Playback control • Fast Forward, Fast Rewind, Pause, Stop, Play • Refilling the buffer then playback.

  9. 線上影音欣賞(cont.) • Install RealPlayer & other associated program. • Enter the AOD/VOD service center with Web Browser. • http://media.hinet.net • click the links. • Playing control of RealPlayer
