  1. News letter from the Fruit Basket 韩老师 09-24-2010 Math Books from China This year each of the children will have one Math textbook and one Math exercise book printed in Chinese, which were shipped overseas from China this summer. Your childwill use them in the Math classes but will not bring home as homework until the end of this school year. Team with Mrs. Wolf First of all, Yeah!! Mrs. Wolf and I have known each other since last year when she was the librarian- we both enjoyed this group a lot. We also went to Salt Lake City and Tampa together. This year she will not only focus on teaching English language, science and social studies, but will also share some math teaching with me. I will still focus on Chinese language and culture, social studies in Chinese and Math in Chinese. We will take turns to send to home the weekly-news letters. Han Laoshi’s Contact Class phone: 517-899-5442 Email: hanhan@msu.edu Chinese Learning Key word: harder. We will start Chinese Pinyin and Radicals study systematically based on the knowledge pieces they picked up through all these year’s learning. We are having a big note book in each child’s desk that is used for table work; if you find that notebook in your child’s backpack, that means they did not finish their work in the school and need to do that at home. To those who have Internet access at home, you can visit http://postoak.wikispaces.com/hanlaoshi to find out our learning materials. Snack Your child can bring snacks to the fruit basket room, and we will take a break and have snack (not everyday). The only policy is: no sharing. If they do not bring any, they can have some from me. Homework Math: Finish the 3-paper-”test” marked with “Warm Up A”. Chinese: Retell the story of the Moon Festival to the parents.
